What happened: Adobe made Firefly’s Generate Music / Speech / Sound Effects generally available and keeps pushing Firefly as a multi-model creative studio (partner models + Adobe tools), with Firefly AI Assistant still rolling as an agentic orchestrator for Creative Cloud workflows (Apr beta → ongoing skills). Tool impact: Firefly stops being “just generative fill in Photoshop” and competes as a one-stop campaign factory—against Canva Magic for SMB speed and Midjourney for still taste.
Switch or not?
If your files already finish in Photoshop/Premiere, trial Firefly audio+assistant in-place—don’t bounce to Canva. If you’re not on Creative Cloud, this isn’t a reason to buy CC solely for audio gens.
Money / risk
CC Pro / paid Firefly plan gates matter. Audio+assistant skills can burn credits across image/video/audio in one brief—set project caps before agency batch jobs.
